THE BEAUTY OF BESPOKE BY ROLLS-ROYCE
Rolls-Royce’ s £ 300m +( US $ 366m) investment in its Goodwood facility earlier this year – the single largest cash injection the plant has received since it opened in 2003 – was driven by a desire to expand its Bespoke and Coachbuild capabilities.
The Phantom( pictured) is, like all of Rolls-Royce’ s vehicles, built by hand at Goodwood.
Bespoke at Rolls-Royce achieved new records for 2024, with a 10 % increase in its content value per motor car year-on-year.
The manufacturer’ s marque experienced the third-best sales result in the company’ s history, affirming the success of this approach with iconic models like the 100-year old Phantom.
“ In 2024, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars reaffirmed its position as an authentic luxury house by crafting the most complex, personal and valuable motor cars in its history,” says Chris Brownridge, CEO at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
The extension also readies the manufacturing facility for the marque’ s transition to an all-battery electric vehicle, as Rolls-Royce continues its wider electrification strategy.
