The company is a part of the US $ 18Bn diversified Jindal Group conglomerate . The company was founded in 1952 by Om Jindal and after his death in 2005 much of his assets were transferred to his wife Savitri Jindal . The group ’ s management was then split among his four sons with Naveen Jindal as the Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Ltd .
