energy by 35 % and delivered a 21 % annual return on investment. The changes to the facility also drove significant progress on sustainability. Energy optimisation efforts delivered 15 to 30 % in projected annual energy savings and 20 to 40 % in projected reductions for Scope 1 and 2 emissions, while earning BCA Green Mark Platinum certification, which is a major step toward Rockwell’ s carbon neutrality goal.
Q. WHERE IS IOT USED IN THE FACILITY NOW?
» The APBC facility uses IoT across several areas, including OTTO autonomous mobile robots( AMRs) to automate material transport in a lightsout warehouse. The FactoryTalk Energy Manager platform, which connects sensors and controls across multiple production lines and assets, dynamically monitors and compares energy and air consumption, reducing the facility’ s carbon footprint. The APBC uses integrated sensors to dynamically adjust lighting, temperature and humidity levels in direct response to active production workflows. Our Singapore team deployed AI-driven tools early in the process such as maintenance copilots, AI-based quality root-cause analysis and predictive analytics to address any unplanned downtime, slow defect resolution and limited real-time visibility on the plant floor.
Digital twin technology was used in the design process to test layouts, to surface any potential issues and to make changes before commissioning. This ultimately
