THE ROBOT REVOLUTION is here and it ’ s shaking up the global manufacturing sector for good . According to a recent survey conducted by Grant Thornton , which asked 2,571 executives in 36 economies how the see robotics influencing their industry , a staggering 43 percent of manufacturing companies across the globe expect to replace more than 5 percent of their employees with robots in the near future .

As more and more R & D is expended on replacing human intelligence with machines , the volume of robots on manufacturing production lines across the globe may soon radically increase .
