Tachi-S Mexico , formerly Industria del Asiento Superior , is a subsidiary of the Japanese company which global presence includes Latin America . The automotive seat manufacturer also produces accessories , armrests and head restraints .
Mexico ’ s Tachi-S was founded as a joint venture with Nissan Mexicana in 1991 ; ten years later Tachi-S Corporate bought 100 percent of the company . In addition to its main plant in Aguascalientes , the manufacturer continuously reinvested to build auxiliary coachbuilders for specific processes in nearby towns , located in the “ automotive cluster ” of Mexico .
Tachi-S has established itself as a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry in Mexico .
