According to Melara , these initiatives were , “ internationally recognized in 2014 by the Grandes Cases de Embalagem award .”
When it comes to social responsibility , one relevant initiative is the AmcorAção program . Through a group of volunteers , the company works alongside the community and the environment of surrounding areas where it operates . The charity actions are aimed at assisting senior homes , orphanages and animal protection associations . The donations come from the volunteers themselves and they are not necessarily financial .
