This is on top of getting goods on time , returning them if we don ’ t want them , and we also want them at our convenience , and at the lowest cost . Previously , supply chains of goods have been brought in for manufacturers , stocked seasonally , sent and then dealt with through the retailer . We ’ re now servicing customers directly , and that ’ s probably the most profound change . Who ’ d have thought we ’ d have been doing that so much 10 years ago ?”
