Officially unveiled at CES 2026, Atlas is Boston Dynamics’ fully electric and product-ready humanoid robot. It is the first commercial version under the company’ s portfolio after its predecessor was disbanded in April 2024. Atlas stands at 1.9m in height and weighs approximately 96kg, while also holding a 2.3m reach. Due to its ability to withstand tough industrial environments, Boston Dynamics’ humanoid robot can lift loads of up to 50kg. It achieved a dustproof and waterproof testing rating of IP67, operating in conditions between −20C to 40C. The robot has a 60 degree camera view through four modular stereovision perception modules in its head. Its autonomous self-swapping battery system means Atlas holds a battery life of around four hours. According to Boston Dynamics, Atlas has taken its first steps into a customer facility with Hyundai for testing on real world tasks.
