FROM AUTOS TO ANDROIDS
Inside Tesla’ s Fremont plant, FANUC R-2000 series arms are part of the first-generation Optimus production line. The Model S and X cars were built in this plant for 14 and 11 years respectively, and the floor space they used has now been converted into this new line. The previous lines were decommissioned in just 46 days. The Fremont line is designed to eventually produce up to one million Optimus units a year.
