Young Hyun Jun leads Samsung’ s Device Solutions division, which manufactures memory chips and semiconductors. An electrical engineer by training with a Ph. D. from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, he takes a meticulous, highly practical approach that leaves little room for operational errors. Previously he led the company’ s memory business from 2014 and became CEO of its battery division in 2017. He returned to the semiconductor division in 2024 and is leading it through the AI era.
