Robert B. Ford heads up Abbott’ s global manufacturing footprint since being appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the firm in March 2020. He is responsible for Abbott’ s operations in more than 160 countries with 122,000 employees. Previously, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer and as EVP of Medical Devices, leading Abbott’ s Diabetes Care, Cardiovascular and Neuromodulation businesses. A long-serving employee, he joined Abbott all the way back in 1996.
